Yellowknife Highway Aurora
On 7th September 2022; I was travelling along the Yellowknife highway away from the cloud bank that had engulfed the city. I noticed a lake by the side of the road as I approached Edzo. Taking up the camera equipment; I moved off the highway and into a car park near the lake.
As I approached the lake; I had my headlights on and there was a loud splash in the water. As I got closer there were 2 or 3 loud splashes in the water. As I neared the edge of the water there were about 6 to 8 beavers in the water right where I had stopped.
I set up my tripod and camera and started to compose the shot. I turned off the headlight and started taking pictures of the beavers splashing every so often. I finished quickly and moved back to the vehicle with my headlight on to see about five Coyotes in the distance from the vehicle.
I got back into the vehicle and then pondered to see if there were Coyotes. I did not get out of the vehicle again but got back onto the highway and travelled back to Yellowknife to find the cloud cover had gone.

Why do we use Hahnemuhle Photo Rag?
We use Hahnemuhle Paper Company. These papers are 310 gsm with a 19.6 mil thickness. It has a matte finish.
Can you use any other paper?
If a client would like a print on a different paper we can quote that. However, as you can imagine it gets expensive if a customer is only ordering one image on a specific type of paper. We tend to use one variation of composition for our print shop although we print on all sorts of Hahnemuhle and Epson papers.
Fine Art Canvas Print
Our fine art canvas prints are printed on 400gsm semi-gloss white poly-cotton blend canvas, specifically designed for high-end fine art and photography markets. Our canvas is printed on Epson Supercolor S80600 printers with UltraChrome 9 colour eco-solvent inks to produce true Giclee prints that last a lifetime.
Once the canvas has dried it is then stretched onto the stretcher bars.
Fine Art Metallic Print
For the Fine Art Metallic Print, we only use ChromaLuxe brand aluminum sheets for the highest quality possible. ChromeLuxe brand has more than 3x better permanence than Kodak Silver Halide prints and resists fading for 65+ years.
The result is a durable metallic print that is scratch-resistant and waterproof which lasts for 65+ years.
Fine Art Acrylic Print
For the Fine Art Acrylic print, the image is first printed onto metallic paper, then face-mounted onto clear UV-resistant acrylic. This process produces the sharpest and most vibrant Acrylic prints on the market.
Why do you only offer five sizes?
The five sizes we offer are the most popular. Our large format Epson 9750 printer can print up to 44 inches wide and over 100 inches long. An order can be placed via a quote and drop-shipped to the customer.
Why don’t you sell Panoramic prints?
Most Panoramic prints we sell require a custom print shop and are tailored to the requirements of our customers. Don’t hesitate to contact us for a quote with the size information and the paper canvas or metallic print style you require.
What inks do you use?
We only use the finest Canon inks for Our Canon printers. Provides the best colour representation with stunning blacks and a wide gamut that accurately reproduces even the most difficult colours.
Do your prints come with frames?
We do not offer frames with our prints. The prints are printed in our office and then shipped in a mail tube via Canada Post. We can recommend frames depending on the customer’s requests.
