The Yellowknife Riverbridge Aurora

On 9th September 2022, a day after the British Queen passed away, this photo was taken at the River Bridge near Yellowknife. As part of a photo tour, we were all saddened by the Queen’s passing. It was as if the Aurora sensed our hearts and presented this picture to us.

A popular location for photographing the Aurora at night is the River Bridge. On the Ingraham Trail, it is some 11.5 km from Yellowknife. Prosperous Lake feeds the river that feeds the Great Slave Lake.
